

Paul Deziel is a New York & Chicago based projection designer. Recent credits include: Into the Woods, Hand to God (Paramount Theatre), Rent, The Color Purple (The Muny), The Great Leap, Eureka Day (Asolo Rep), I Hate It Here (Goodman Theatre), P.Y.G or the Mis-Edumacation of Dorian Belle (Jackalope Theatre), Photograph 51 (Court Theatre), Tilikum (Sideshow Theatre Company), The Vagrant Trilogy (Mosaic Theatre Company), and Beauty’s Daughter (American Blues Theater). His animation work on the Triumph of Isabella exhibition was showcased as a part of the Performance Festival at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Paul has won 2 Joseph Jefferson Awards for his designs and the 1999 Sportsman of the Year Award on his tee-ball team. He holds a B.A. in Technical Theatre from Columbia College Chicago and an MFA in Projection & Multimedia Design from the University of Maryland. He is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and is an Artistic Affiliate with American Blues Theater. Outside of theatre, Paul enjoys board games and brewing kvass.
